Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was such a lovely Sunday! We didn't do anything extravagant, but it was so nice to be able to accomplish a few errands and spend time with the family. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Do you ever get really excited about plans, but then due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, the plans get cancelled at the last minute? Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Who remembers Foster Parent Fridays? Last year, I was featuring interviews with foster parents on Fridays as a special series. Unfortunately, as all good things do, the series came to an end in October. I had no more interviews to feature, and there was nothing I could do to propel the series forward. About two weeks ago, I decided to put the word out again to see if there was any interest in doing an interview for me. I went on the foster family pages that I'm part of, and asked around, and I actually received two responses. While I hope to feature more interviews in the future, I'm happy to at least share the experiences of these two women for now. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Did everyone wear their green today? Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
As everyone knows, I moved from New York to Florida back in July. Actually, tomorrow marks eight months exactly since we arrived at our new house. This was the first winter that we spent in the heat, and it has been absolutely wonderful. We had a week or two in January where we had to put sweatshirts on to go outside, but other than that it's been beautiful the whole time. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Sometimes, I think that Disney magic appears just when you need it; rather than the Cast Members just making magic for Guests, the magic seems to reach us Cast Members when we could use some Pixie Dust as well. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I want to wish everyone a happy Pi Day! Pi Day is probably the only thing that many people remember from high school math class, am I right? March 14th, or 3.14, was always the day that we got to have a party in math class to celebrate the crazy number that went on for forever and ever. I can even remember competitions to see who could recite the most digits in Pi. Wow, life was so simple back then, when the most difficult thing you had to remember was a number. But aside from the competitions, Pi Day always made me wish that I liked pie; it would be so fitting to eat the dessert on this day. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
What can I say about today? It was... well, it certainly wasn't what I had pictured, that's for sure. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today got off to a slow, kind of sluggish start, but by the end of the night some super things were happening! |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
