Today is apparently National Sibling Day, which means that everyone has been posting nice sibling pictures on Facebook all day. I haven't mentioned the day at all, much less put up a picture.

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
All children feel differently about their situations when they are in foster care or are adopted. Some kids are proud to be adopted; some kids don't want anyone to know that they were put into the foster system. It all depends on the child and his or her experience. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Tonight, I thought I'd get back to foster care posts since the excitement of our vacation is wearing off somewhat. I wanted to talk a little bit about foster kids in school. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Everything went back to normal today with the first day back to school. As much as I didn't want to wake up when my alarm went off this morning, it was kind of good to be forced into being a responsible, fully-functioning human being again. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
We made it home extremely early this morning, we have unpacked (almost) everything, and we took back the RV to the rental place. We are settled in for a normal night and it's really nice to be home. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
It's after 10pm and we're currently driving through Maryland. We're about four or four and a half hours away from home, I believe. Our trip is really coming to an end. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
We're on our way back to New York because, unfortunately, spring break is coming to an end. We had Passover dinner at a restaurant in Georgia, and I don't know where we'll be for Easter dinner tomorrow. It's weird because I don't remember a time when we were ever not home for a holiday meal. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
It's the end of our week here in Florida, and we'll be heading back to New York tomorrow. I'm really going to be sad to say goodbye to this beautiful area, but I'm excited that the next time we come down will be to move here. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I'm at Disney World!! I'm sitting in Magic Kingdom waiting for the rest of my family to get off of a roller coaster... I can't believe what an amazing day it has been! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I have really exciting news to share before I talk about today's events... My mom got the call to take in another little girl! She's three years old, and we'll be taking her in the day after we get home! |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
