I’ve still been thinking about what I wrote yesterday… I guess it’s just one of those weeks where you reflect on the past. Well, I was thinking about all of the times that my mom discusses my siblings’ backgrounds with them.

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I was just thinking about this moment that I shared with my little brother once… He must have been about nine or ten years old, because it was within the past few years. You know how kids are, where they’ll just say whatever comes to their minds? There’s no filter really, just blissful ignorance that their words can impact someone. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
It’s that time again, folks… I’m sick. I’m not exactly sure who I got it from, because my little sisters are taking turns being sick, and my mom’s been sick, so it could have come from anywhere. The only thing that I know for sure is that being sick really stinks. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Yesterday I wrote that our family friends were finally coming home after serving in Afghanistan with the National Guard. I’m happy to report that they’re now home and doing well, and everyone is happy to have them back! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Two family friends of ours have been stationed overseas in Afghanistan and they’re finally coming home tonight! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Since I was just talking about my brother’s adoption the other day, I thought that I would share a writing that I did about him to give a better understanding of who he is. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I cannot believe it… this is my one hundredth post on this blog! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Tonight, I thought I would talk a little about the first adoption I ever experienced. In the future, I’ll definitely discuss it more, but I just wanted to reminisce about the part where we sat with the judge that day. It was the second day of my third grade year, and I missed school that day. My brother was in first grade, and he too missed school. Our dad took the day off from work, which was extremely rare. We knew it was a big deal. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I’m twenty-one!! Yes, it’s finally my birthday, and I’m totally legal now. I don’t know if I’m ready for adulthood, but here goes nothing… Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
It’s November at last! After the crazy build up to Halloween, it seems like most people are going to calm down for a little while now, at least until Thanksgiving preparations begin. But in our family? No, we’re still in full swing with the chaos. |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
