Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Wow, can you believe that there are only five days left until Christmas? That's so crazy... it hardly seems like 2015 is almost over, and yet here we are in the last two weeks of the year. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Last week, I wrote about the tradition that my family has with getting new ornaments for the Christmas tree each year. After receiving a comment about what a wonderful tradition it is, I wanted to discuss it more and talk about how this tradition has evolved over the years. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
After a day off from work, I think I'm almost back to my normal self! I was happy to sit down whenever I wanted to, but I definitely missed that Guest interaction and getting to know my fellow Cast Members. I'm really loving my new job, but it's important to have a break once in a while. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was another long and exhausting day of work, but it was amazing! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Well I knew that I would find something difficult in this job eventually.... Unfortunately, today was that day. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was an absolutely incredible day of training at work! It was wonderful and I cannot wait to go back and do this all over again. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
The realization hit me today that while I started this blog to discuss foster care and adoption, I've barely touched either subject in the most recent weeks. So much has been happening in my personal life that I've been finding it difficult to talk about anything aside from my new job or plans for the holiday season. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Our Christmas tree is decorated! No, I don't have a picture yet, but trust me when I say it looks awesome. We do still need to put on some finishing touches, like the tinsel, but it looks great. Isn't it funny that decorating our Christmas tree was how we celebrated the last night of Hanukkah? I mean, we celebrated Hanukkah too, but it was still kind of funny the way we combined the two holidays! It was Christmakah... Christmas & Hanukkah put together! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
My siblings' biggest fears this December have been put to rest... Santa knows that we moved to Florida. |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
