I'm desperately trying to get back in routine around here, but that hasn't quite happened yet. However, since I'm a little more awake tonight, I thought I would discuss a topic that one of my readers asked me to address.

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Tonight, I'd like to share another adoption story in honor of National Adoption Month. Last week, I shared a story from a reader about adopting her son, and tonight I'm happy to share another amazing adoption story. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
In case you've forgotten, this month is National Adoption Month. Earlier in November, I asked for readers to share their adoption stories with me. I wanted to showcase different adoption experiences over the course of this month in order to give readers a sense of how wonderful adoption is, and how many different ways one could go about adoption. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Tonight, I had the opportunity to have a long talk with my brother about family, relatives, and biology. It was quite a heavy, yet amusing, conversation to have while we waited on our Chinese food order. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Did you know that this month is National Adoption Month? It's a topic that has been discussed on social media, and it brings awareness to adoption. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I saw something tonight on Facebook that I wanted to discuss here, because I think that it's really important for people to understand. It was a writing from the actress Sandra Bullock, in regards to the adoption of her son. I'm so glad that a family member found this writing and sent it to my mom, because it was nice to read it. Happy birthday times three! I'm 22 and my littlest sisters are 6! Where has the time gone? Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
First off, I want to mention something that I'm doing with the blog. I've been going back to the start of my blogging journey and changing categories on the posts to make them more easily found. If you look at the right of any blog page, you'll see a menu with a list of categories, such as About My Family or Sign Language. By clicking on any of those categories, you'll be brought directly to posts tagged under each heading. However, when I started blogging, I wasn't really sure what category to put posts in, and each post was only labeled with one heading. I've been going back to add all categories applicable to each post, so that it will be easier to find what you're looking for. This will probably take me quite a while to finish, as I'm only up to posts from October 2014, but I'll get through them all eventually! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Yesterday, I wrote about how much work caseworkers do with each foster child's case. We've dealt with many caseworkers over the course of our time as a foster family. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today, I was thinking about the idea of wanting to know where you come from. It was a special day in our family; the birthday of a man who I called my grandfather, even though we weren't technically related, and my grandma's birthday as well. |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
