Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Back in January, I went through training at work to become a Relief Coordinator. Basically, it means that I can pick up shifts to cover the full time Cast Members when they need the day off, and the position itself is kind of the equivalent to middle-management. Today, two months after I began my two weeks of training, I finally picked up a Coordinator shift for the first time. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I had to use a title that gives a nod to one of my favorite Disney movies, of course, (you're welcome if you now have "Let It Go" stuck in your head), but this post has nothing to do with Disney or songs... I'm working on my new novel! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today, I officially began my training for another position at work! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
1 "Ear" As A CM... that's what my "I'm Celebrating" button said when I went into Epcot this evening to celebrate the anniversary of joining the Walt Disney World Company as a Cast Member. I've officially been a Cast Member for an entire year now, and it felt so good to reach that milestone! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Whew! It has been quite the day! I just got off of what was supposed to be a 12 hour shift… I say supposed to be, only because I actually got there an hour early to go to costuming. So technically I was there for 13 hours. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I didn't have time to post yesterday, but I have some really wonderful news to share... My new children's book was released yesterday! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
When I said that I was no longer going to be blogging daily, I didn't mean that I was going on a month hiatus! Unfortunately though, my decision to stop posting on a daily basis came at the perfect time, because the past month has been quite the whirlwind. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Student loans. They're the worst part of going to college, right? You can suffer through the late nights of studying, early morning classes, and cramming in school work over the summer, because you know that it'll all be worth it when you get that diploma. But just when you think all of the hard work is over, you get slammed with student loan repayments. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
So this morning, I was woken up to my mom yelling to me to pick up the phone. I was completely asleep and had no idea what was going on, and I was jolted awake out of no where. Why was my mom yelling to me, you ask? Well, Disney was calling. |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
