It's the first post of the new year! Here we are in 2016, and I can't believe that I haven't posted since last year! Alright, but in all seriousness, I can't believe that it's 2016 already and I'm excited to see what the next year will have in store!
I didn't make it home in time to ring in the new year, but my mom put the New Year's Rockin' Eve countdown on when I got home and we celebrated late. I think the twins wished me a Happy New Year about twenty times over the course of the day, so even though we didn't actually do anything to celebrate this year, we recognized the occasion.
I truly missed being with my best friend for New Year's Eve, because we celebrated together every year since sixth grade, and this was the first year we weren't together. It was weird not having him at my house, and we usually had other friends over as well, so it was definitely different this year. But even though we didn't have a party this year, I was happy to ring in the new year and say goodbye to 2015.
There were definitely lots of ups and downs last year, so I'm looking forward to seeing what this new year has in store for me and my family. I hope that everyone had a great celebration, no matter what you did to ring in 2016!
Thank you so much for your continued support! I look forward to sharing more stories about my experience with foster care, and hopefully hearing from readers who have questions or similar stories to share.
