Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

There is a lot of uncertainty in our country today, so we all need a bright spot in our lives... I'm happy to share that my bright spot is the release of my new children's book! "How Do Grandmas Grow?" is now available on Amazon!

As you can see in the picture of the book's title page, "How Do Grandmas Grow?" is the first book in my How Do They Grow? series! Book 2 is titled "How Do Grandpas Grow?" and will be released in just a few short weeks!

I wanted to release "How Do Grandmas Grow?" today because it's an incredibly special day to me... it's my own grandma's birthday! My grandma, Nee-Nee, stepped up and became my grandmother when I really needed someone in my life. She and her husband, Tony, were the reason my parents bought my childhood home when my mom was pregnant with me; they lived next door and were instantly family. My dad's mother, my Grandma Adele, unfortunately passed away long before my parents even met, so Nee-Nee took on that grandmother role and has always been there for me. She always tells everyone that I'm her first grandchild, an honor that I feel blessed to have been given.

So, in honor of Nee-Nee's birthday, I'm thrilled to share this sweet story all about grandmothers. I know that this book will be treasured by grandmas and grandkids everywhere, whether they're able to snuggle up together to read the book or they read it together over video chat from across the country. Children will love the rhyming nature of the story and the colorful illustrations as well.

You can visit my Amazon page to purchase "How Do Grandmas Grow?" for just $10! Even if you don't have children in your life who would enjoy the story, sharing the book with friends and family would be a huge help as well. The more exposure for the book, the better!

Oh, and don't forget... there are still a couple of days left to enter the "How Do Grandmas Grow?" contest! If you have a child between the ages of 3-12, simply have them draw a picture of how they think grandmas grow and share it on Facebook or Instagram with #HowDoGrandmasGrow to be entered. The winner will be chosen from a random draw and will receive a free signed copy of the book! See my Facebook page or my previous blog post for more information.

Thanks for reading!

    About

    Picture
My family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.

I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life.

I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day.

I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing!
