A Wee Bit O' Magic

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Did everyone wear their green today?
Unfortunately, I couldn't wear any green, as I was working today. That being said though, I think that Disney Magic is much more fun than leprechaun magic, so I was happy with that. No offense to the leprechauns or anything, but my heart lies with Mickey. Plus, I finally found a quicker way to get from where I park my car to my actual job location today... It literally cut twenty minutes from my commute! I was extremely excited, to say the least.

It was awesome to see so many Guests all decked out in green today. Everyone was so happy and excited to be spending the holiday at Disney World. The smiles were contagious all around, and I was so glad that everyone was in such a good mood when we got really busy. It's always good when you're constantly going and have a lot to do but everyone that you interact with is happy to have a nice conversation with you.

The only thing that I did miss while at work was my little sisters' field day at school. I got to look at pictures while on break at work, and it looked like they had a fantastic time. I'm excited to hear them tell me all about it tomorrow, because their version of stories are always more entertaining than whatever actually happened. My mom did volunteer with the class today though, and she said that it was a great day for everyone. The field was was, obviously, green-themed, and it seemed like my sisters and their friends really enjoyed themselves. It's just still so funny to me that field day is held in March down here, while our hometown held field day in June.

I would also like to wish a very happy birthday to my great-aunt (my mom's Godmother), who turned 93 years young today! She is a beautiful woman, inside and out, and I am so proud to call her family. She still looks the same as she did in photos from when my mom was a child... absolutely beautiful.

I hope everyone had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day, whether you were doing the bar crawl, watching a parade, or coloring food green for your kids. Shoot, that reminds me... I meant to make the milk green in my sisters' cereal this morning, and I totally forgot. Oh well, you can't win them all.

Your continued support means the world to me. From foster care to novels, and family to work experiences, I look forward to sharing more of my life with you each day. Don't hesitate to share your own stories with me or ask me questions about my life. Please don't forget to like and share my

    About

    Picture
My family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.

I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life.

I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day.

I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing!
