Somehow, if you can believe it, I actually got a few minutes to myself tonight! I'm sitting outside the RV at the picnic table all alone, and have plenty of time to write my post for today. My mom and three sisters are all in bed already, and my dad and brother should almost be on their way back from a laundry & store run. So since I have a little time to myself, I thought I'd catch everyone up on all of the chaos that we've encountered over the past few days that hasn't been included in my daily posts.

Well, we finally made it to Florida! We found our campsite, hooked up the RV, and everyone enjoyed a nice meal at the restaurant right across the street! You seriously just have to go across the road to get to one restaurant and go around the corner for another one... It's a good thing I don't have a job, or if be eating out for every meal!

It's Day 2 of our road trip, and we're almost to Georgia right now. We stopped to let everyone stretch and eat dinner here in South Carolina, so we're just letting the twins get all of their energy out before strapping them in again. Oh, and it's also the eight month anniversary of Taylor Talks! I can't believe I've been blogging for so long! It feels like I started just last week!

Spring Break is finally here, there's no school for a whole week (and a day), and the Krigsmans are on our way to Florida!!

One of the best things about doing foster care has been the fact that we always have little kids in the house. Unlike most families, who have children and then those children grow up, in our family we have had children who grow up, children who leave, children who stay and grow up, children who leave again... my siblings and I have such different age differences because my parents didn't choose when to have another child. We just sat back and waited until another child came to us.

I recently joined some Facebook pages where I could talk to other members of foster families from around the world, and it has been nice to see opinions from various points of view. The other day, I asked everyone what questions they were most commonly asked about doing foster care. I was curious if the questions varied depending on where in the world you lived, but it seems that everyone hears the same misconceptions and gets the same crazy questions.

I was just thinking back to when my brother and I were little... He was four, so he wasn't in real school yet, but my mom and dad wanted to put him in a preschool program. My parents were even going to pay out of pocket for it.... DSS had a "rule" against this though.

Don't you just love the feeling of buying new clothes? Especially when you haven't gone shopping in a long time? I love that feeling, and I love it even more when I'm lucky enough to have my parents buying new clothes for me! (Thanks Mom & Dad!) Well would it surprise you to know that one of the first things that we do when we take in a new foster child is buy them new clothes?

Tonight's topic is housekeeping... no, not like having a maid come clean your house. That would be great though, wouldn't it? I'm sure that my mom would appreciate that! No, the housekeeping I'm referring to would be housekeeping notes; catching up and getting people all on the same page.

Well I'm just heading to bed in preparation for tomorrow: my first day of my second student teaching placement. I'm really excited, but a little bit nervous at the same time.
