Life as a Writer, Disney World Cast Member, and
Big Sister through Foster Care & Adoption
Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I realized that I needed to do an update post… I’ve been posting about other things for the past few days, and neglected to say that my big family problem has finally been fixed! Thanksgiving really is a time to reflect and give thanks, and by the end of the day, the problems that had been eating away at me were finally gone.

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today officially marks four months of blogging on Taylor Talks! I can’t believe how much has changed since July 29th. I feel like I’ve grown and changed as an individual, my family has changed, and even the blog itself has changed and grown. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Well, my siblings know that our youngest sister will be leaving our home next week. My mom actually told them over Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. I don’t think that my youngest sisters, or my little foster sister, understand what this actually means, but my other siblings do. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful day, surrounded by family and friends. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I’ve calmed down a bit since my long rant yesterday, but I am still extremely angry about this whole situation. Welcome back to Taylor Talks.
I have had a little girl living in my house for most of this year. She is my foster sister, and she is a part of our family. She turned two a few months after being placed with us. Now, I found out that she will be leaving us next Thursday. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I’m finally on Thanksgiving break! My college gives students a break for the holiday from Wednesday to Friday. However, the professor of my only class on Tuesdays decided that she would give us tomorrow off so we could have an extended break. On Mondays, I have two classes in the morning, and then a six hour break, and then a night class. Well I went to my first two classes, and then I got an email from the night professor, who decided that he was going to cancel class as well! So I didn’t need to sit around for six hours and wait for class. Instead, I got to head home early, and eat lunch with my mom for once. Welcome back to Taylor Talks.
If you remember back to last weekend, I wrote about a problem that my family was having. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
It’s getting to be the end of the semester, so that means that I’ll have another project coming up for my sign language class. I’ve been going back and forth about what I want to do, but I finally picked out a song that I’d like to translate for my performance. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
It has certainly been a long week for me, and I’m guessing that many other people are experiencing the same overwhelming feelings as I am. |
My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
