Amazing News!!

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

We received some really big news today, and since we've shared the good news with close family and friends, I'm excited to write about it here as well...
We got a new house!

Whew, it is such a relief to be able to say that... we've been looking for so long, and we finally found a great match for us! We had decided to go with a rental for a year so that we can at least get down to Florida and then figure out which specific area we like best before buying a house, and apparently renting is hard competition down there! There aren't a lot of four or five bedroom homes, so it took quite a while to find something that we loved. The wait was well worth it though, because we found a beautiful home with plenty of space, a nice lanai, a big pool, and an address that seems pretty easy to remember!

Alright, so I do have to share a bedroom with my sister, but I don't even really mind... This house has a second master suite (with its own bathroom, plus it's own door out to the lanai and pool area) that we'll be sharing, so there's plenty of space. Plus, this means that we won't have to share a bathroom with the other kids, so when I know a mess isn't mine, I'll know exactly who to blame! No, but in all honesty, I think my sister and I are going to bond much more when we get down there. It'll be the two of us who go out exploring and we'll get a laugh out of locking everyone out of our room.... I'm glad that it'll be the two of us against the world when we get down there. (I still want my own room when we buy a place though.... I know you're reading this, Mom! Ha ha!)

I am so excited to be able to say that we have a house in Florida, and I think I'm looking forward to the move more now because I know we have a place waiting for us when we get down there. It's definitely more upsetting the more we pack up this house, but I can't wait to get to the new house now. It was so great to show the pictures of the new house to my brothers and sisters, and see their eyes light up at images of their new bedrooms. The house looks so great, and I still can't believe it's going to be ours. In about two weeks, we'll be starting a brand new life, and I can't wait to see what's in store for my family. I'm ready for this new chapter to begin!

My goal is to reach 150 likes on my Facebook author page by the time I'm celebrating a year of blogging on July 29th, and it would mean so much to me if everyone could like and share my page. It's as simple as clicking the two buttons at the top right of any blog page, so it only takes a few seconds of your time! As I've mentioned before, when I reach 150 likes, I will share information about the novel that I've been working on, so I'm really excited to hit that milestone!

I’d greatly appreciate it if you would share this blog with friends and family through your favorite social media sites. If you’re sharing on Twitter, don’t forget to tag me (@TayTayK02) and use the hashtag #TaylorTalks.

Thanks!
Taylor

    About

    Picture
My family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.

I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life.

I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day.

I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing!
