Being in college is very different than being in high school. I’m still realizing that, even in my senior year. One of the biggest differences is that you are no longer in classes only with people who are your age. Instead, you can be in classes with people ten or twenty years older than you. It’s a mix of people from all different lifestyles, and while there are many people who, like me, started college right after high school, there are also a lot of people that took time off before going to college.

This morning, I shared my midterm presentation for my sign language class. I thought that other people might find it interesting as well. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today, I thought I’d share a piece of inspiration that I wrote… It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded some words of wisdom, but I thought that this was worth sharing. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today, I delivered a cake to a woman who paid me to bake it for her. I actually got paid for baking… a real job! I was so excited for this! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
The other day, I spoke about my love of baking, and how I”m hoping to turn my passion into a business some day. Well today, I’d like to talk about some of the biggest reasons for why I love to bake. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I was so focused on my bust of a craft fair on Saturday, that I completely forgot to write about our adventures that night! Since we’re halfway through October, my mom decided that we could spend the night shopping for Halloween costumes. That is always quite a feat with the amount of kids in our family. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Yesterday, I was writing about the preparations for my little sisters’ fifth birthday party. Everyone (okay, mostly the two of them and myself) is really excited for the party. But writing about their birthdays coming up made me think about my own birthday. I’m not sure if I’ve ever written about my birthday before. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today has been SO much better than yesterday! We were able to go out shopping and get all of our errands done, and there were no temper tantrums! To quote a Wicked song, “Thank Goodness!” Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was seriously a day from hell. There’s no other way to describe it. It was one of those days when none of the little kids could pull themselves together and it was horrible trying to shop at a store. I can’t believe how incredible my mom is; I don’t know anyone else who could keep their cool in a time like that. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was our annual family pumpkin picking day! My family looks forward to this day every year, and it’s always so much fun. |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
