Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Tomorrow is the first day back to school for my siblings after their two week winter break. If you can even call it a winter “break” of course…
I feel like we’ve had about 2 days of calm over the past two weeks, since my little sister were only both feeling better beginning yesterday. One got sick on December 24th, and then at least one of them was sick all break up until yesterday. It was crazy. The twin that didn’t need to go into the hospital still has a sad little cough. But the good news is that both twins were cleared to go back to school tomorrow. Hooray!
Everyone is excited for school to begin again except for my brother. According to him, “middle school sucks,” and he can’t believe that he has to suffer through it again! Oh well, we’ve all been there. Three of us have made it through that exact same middle school and lived to tell the tale. He’ll be just fine.
I hope that all of the children in your life have a wonderful start back to school!

My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
