Dun Dun Dun... Essays!

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

For those of you wondering, yes, I did manage to finish my essay on time to hand it in this morning!! It took forever (alright, not forever, but at least five hours) to finish it, and I was completely exhausted this morning because I got to bed so late, but it’s finished. I actually think it even came out pretty well, surprisingly!

It’s funny, because I’m an English concentration within my Education major, and I love to write stories and work on this blog, but I absolutely hate essays. I’m horrible at essays. I mean, it’s not like I fail essays or anything; I usually get somewhere in the B+ to B- range, but still, for an English person, you’d think I would do better at them.

Does everyone else hate essays as much as I do? Or is it just when you’re forced to write about a topic that you have no interest in? If I was asked to write about something that I enjoy or know a lot about, like children or foster care, then maybe I would have an easier time with it. I don’t know, because unfortunately I’ve never gotten an assignment to write an essay about whatever I want!
