My siblings all had off from school today, so we were finally able to find a local movie theater! It was so nice to go out and enjoy the day as a family.
Our family outing today reminded me of another family outing that we went on, one that I completely forgot to write about (or post pictures of on Facebook). We have also found a zoo down here! My parents took us all to the zoo one day and it was our first "fun" outing since we moved. The kids had a blast seeing all of the animals, and it was a nice break from our daily routine.
My parents actually got us annual passes for the zoo, so we're all looking forward to going back again. While we had fun with some of the zoo's attractions, like feeding the sheep and goats in the petting zoo, I know that we didn't get to see all of the animals or do everything there. Plus, the twins got to jump on these bouncy things out front where they were hooked up to a harness and got to flip around in the air. For Twin A especially (since she has major sensory needs), these things were awesome, and they would both love to go on them again.
I'm looking forward to taking more day trips with the family as we continue to settle in down here. It seems like we always have some project going on, or errands to run, so we haven't had much time for family fun days, but I know we'll get to enjoy a lot more the longer we're down here.
Thank you so much for your continued support! I look forward to sharing more stories about my experience with foster care, and hopefully hearing from readers who have questions or similar stories to share. I'm always willing to answer questions and hear about other experiences! Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!
