As if the past week and a half hasn't been exciting enough following the release of "The Way the World Changed," today was even more incredible! I was interviewed about the book for a local news station!

Well, a local news reporter saw one of my posts and reached out to me. He wanted to interview me for a story that would be featured on the local news. It was an incredible opportunity, so of course I responded and invited him to my home to talk (wearing a mask, of course haha).
Seminole Bureau news reporter Dan Messineo from Spectrum News 13 came to my house this morning to discuss why I write, what motivated "The Way the World Changed," and more. He was so nice and even discussed his job with me and my mom when we had questions about reporting.
We sat at my dining room table and chatted for quite a while. The entire time a professional camera was stationed at the end of the table to capture my every move, and a microphone sat on the table to pick up everything I said. It was such an awesome experience.

My entire family gathered around the television when the news came on this evening to watch and it was one of the coolest moments of my life to see my book on the television.
News anchor Tammie Fields discussed my story and introduced my clip. This was such an incredible honor! I videotaped the news report and posted it on my author page, but here's the full clip in case you missed it...
Here are some still photos that my mom took after we had watched it a few times haha...
The story originally aired at the end of the 5pm news hour, which was incredible enough, but then it aired again throughout the night. I was even bumped up to being shown within the first twenty minutes on the 9pm hour! Prime time! That is so cool!
I'm really hoping that more people will order "The Way the World Changed" for their children after seeing it on the news tonight. I just want to help as many kids as possible while they're dealing with the uncertainties that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to us all.
Thanks for reading!
