It's the end of the night on what was supposed to be the last of my non-stop long days. I've worked, run errands, gone to the hospital, gone to Magic Kingdom, visited with friends, and I've been up early each day and up late each night. I thought that I would get a little down time tomorrow, but now I've realized that I have lots to do still.
Unfortunately for me, I'm going to have to fit in time to go get a hair cut tomorrow too. My bangs have gotten to the point where they are so long and weighed down that they separate in the middle and fall to the side. It's not my best look. Also unfortunately for me is the fact that the best hair salon I've been able to find down here is fifteen minutes away; back in New York I used to get my hair cut at a salon just five minutes from home. Sure, it's not a big difference, but that's an extra ten minutes which I could have used to sit and do nothing instead of paying attention while driving.
I've been thinking about my novel a lot lately, and I need to fit in some time either tomorrow or Saturday to do some work for it. I need to read over my list of agents to whom I would like to write, research other agents, take a look at the letter that I was using as the basis for writing to each agent, and start working on making my pitch better. If I haven't heard back from any agents at this point, then I have to start doing something different.
I also haven't worked on any of my books lately, so I really need to start making more time for that throughout the course of my weeks. If I don't plan out time to sit down and write, edit, revise, and illustrate, then the whole summer is going to fly by without any progress being made! But I can worry about that tomorrow... I'm too tired to come up with any good ideas right now.
