Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Unfortunately, I'm getting to bed way too late tonight and I'm exhausted, so I don't have time for a long post right now... I realize that I haven't been on the topic of foster care all this week, but once the craziness of this week is over, I'll be good to go.
I had my second observation for student teaching today, and I was glad to see that I had improved since the first one. The kids were wonderful while my supervisor was there, and I was really pleased with how the lesson went.
My supervisor said that I looked much more comfortable this time around, and she could see how much I've bonded with the kids and how at home I feel now. I can't believe that I'm only going to be in this classroom for two more days... The past nine weeks have just flown by. I'm excited for my next placement to begin, but boy am I going to miss this bunch.
Thanks for bearing with me as I make it through the chaos of this week! Don't forget to comment on my post from last week to enter the giveaway for a free foster care e-book!
I’d greatly appreciate it if you would share this blog with friends and family through your favorite social media sites. If you’re sharing on Twitter, don’t forget to tag me (@TayTayK02) and use the hashtag #TaylorTalks.
My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
