Happy anniversary Blog! It has been exactly one month since I started on this endeavor, and I’m so proud of myself for sticking with it!

I’m not going to lie, some days it is difficult to decide what I want to write about. There are days when I wonder why I started writing this blog to begin with, but then I think of a memory, or about how important foster care is, and I begin to write again. I am proud to share my story, and discuss my family, because I think that my situation is pretty unique. I know that there are many families who do foster care, but I have yet to meet or hear of another foster family in which there is only one biological child.
I am looking forward to continuing to share my story, and to reflecting on my life through my writing. I hope that at some point there will be someone who reads my blog and wants to connect with me, and will comment or write to me. Maybe I will eventually come across someone else in my position, or will hear from a foster parent whether they are experienced or just starting out. I look forward finding out just what lies ahead for me and my blog.
