Poor Daddy

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

Well today was quite something! We certainly are never lacking an adventure or good story around here, that's for sure!
The day started out pretty normal. It was the start of my second to last day of student teaching, so I was transferring control of the classroom back to the teacher. I got to take a picture with both the morning and afternoon classes, and the kids were so sweet all day. They know that my last day is tomorrow, and we're all sad to see my student teaching come to an end.

Then, about halfway through the day, I received a message from my mom that she had picked up my little sisters from school and had taken my dad to the hospital. Yesterday he had been feeling pain in what appeared to be his side or his stomach. My mom just reminded me that I'm always the calm one in emergencies and that I should just go straight home to be with my other siblings after school.

Luckily, my dad ended up just having a kidney stone. He was released from the hospital and is doing as well as can be expected. He's still in pain, but at least it's nothing more serious. Still, I'm sure he would appreciate it if everyone would keep him in their thoughts.

Wish me luck on my last day of student teaching!! I know I'll be in to visit a lot, but I know it's going to be sad tomorrow... I can't believe it's actually over!

    About

    Picture
My family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.

I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life.

I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day.

I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing!
