We're in the midst of our second annual Hurricane Party here at the Krigsman house! It's not quite as much fun for the adults as it is for the kids, but hey, a party's a party, right?
As the days goes on, we've been getting some hints as to what this hurricane holds in store for us. Feeder bands have passed through, bringing strong winds and downpours. We did lose power, but it came right back luckily. I don't know how long that will last though.
This hurricane has been one big guessing game. Is it a Category 1 or a Category 5? Will we get a direct hit or will it miss us completely? The news says something different every hour it seems like, making us all just a little bit crazy. If we knew anything for sure, we might feel a little better, but no one can predict the future.
The kids are already getting a little restless, but at least we were able to get them outside today. They played in the pool between rain storms and have been enjoying each other's company. We have a total of four adults, seven children, four dogs, two hamsters, and a cat here, so it's a pretty full house. I just hope we're not all sick of each other by the time this storm ends.
I can't let this post end without a birthday shout-out to my grandpa. I know that he's looking down on us and protecting us through this crazy time. He would have loved being here with all of these crazy kids, keeping everyone busy with games and jokes. I wish my siblings and cousins could have known him the way that I did. I love and miss him each day.
