Studios Surprise

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

This afternoon, my family went back to a place at which we haven't spent any time in years. My little sisters had never been there before, and I was so excited to get over there. Where did we go? Disney's Hollywood Studios!

None of my siblings had any idea where we were going when we started making lunches and packing bags this afternoon. They knew that we were going somewhere "special" and that it was a surprise, but that was it. My mom packed away everyone's Magic Bands secretly, my dad started driving the car, and no one was any wiser. They didn't know where we were going until we drove under the Disney World sign!

I really love the fact that we can just go to Disney whenever we want and it doesn't need to be a full day adventure. We got there around 3:30pm and left around 9:00pm; enough time to do lots and have fun, but not enough time to completely exhaust everyone.

I didn't remember a lot about Hollywood Studios, but wow, did we have fun today! We went on some rides, met some Disney Junior characters, got a picture with everyone's favorite snowman (Olaf), and even got to see some shows!

The Frozen Singalong show was absolutely spectacular! From the amazing performances by the two leads, to the reactions on my little sisters' faces, we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Toy Story Midway Mania was an amazing ride! If you ever have the chance to go on it, I would highly recommend it. I sat with Twin A for this ride, and I completely forgot that she was there half of the time because I was enjoying myself so much. Usually, the adults are always switching back and forth as to who is riding with which twin, and we spend a lot of the ride time talking to them or watching their reactions. Not on this ride though! I was having an absolute blast!

Earlier, when we had gone on the Great Movie Ride, I was with Twin B, and she got completely freaked out during one part of the ride... that was a perfect example of forgetting what you're doing and focusing on a kid. I just had to mentally step out of the ride and just comfort my sister for a bit.

We really had an awesome time today, and I can't wait to go back again and visit either Hollywood Studios or another of the Disney Parks. It doesn't seem to matter how often we go now that we're living down here; there's always something new and exciting to discover! And every time we go, we get to enjoy time together as a family, which is really one of the best parts about each Disney Day that we have.

Your continued support means the world to me. From foster care to novels, and family to work experiences, I look forward to sharing more of my life with you each day. Don't hesitate to share your own stories with me or ask me questions about my life. Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!

    About

    Picture
My family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.

I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life.

I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day.

I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing!
