What a crazy night I had at work tonight! We had a kind of traffic jam happening, a chain reaction of things gone wrong, and my fellow Cast Members were starting to panic, but I solved everything in a matter of minutes without even needing to get a manager involved!
The nice part about all of the excitement was that it woke us all up at the end of the night... The craziness took place in the last hour of the day, and after that we were all wide awake and ready for our drives home. I almost wished that we would have had some excitement earlier in the day when we first started getting tired.
I think that even though I'm not using my teacher training in my work at Disney, I still have that drive to want to lead people and guide them through difficult situations. Tonight was proof of that; if there was a problem in a kindergarten classroom, I would have handled it the same way, ensuring that everyone was comfortable and given specific directions so that we were all on the same page. Our complications at work are a bit more complex than problems in a kindergarten room, but you get the picture.
Speaking of kindergarten rooms though, I get to go into my sisters' school tomorrow for a kindergarten performance. I'm not thrilled about needing to be there early in the morning, but I think it will be pretty cute. Tomorrow is also my little brother's thirteenth birthday... I can't believe he's going to be a teenager! Wow! So it should be a pretty good day all around tomorrow.
