I can't believe it... it's the last day of June!
I can't believe it... it's the last day of June!
Alright, technically it's the last night of June now, but you get the point. The last day of June means one thing in particular this year for my family: we've officially experienced every month of the year in Florida. True, we still have a couple more weeks before we've lived here for a whole year, but we moved into our house in the middle of July. That means that this was the last month that we had to experience down here.
The last day of June also means something special for me individually. I've now officially completed six months of working at Disney World! Tomorrow, July 1st, is the six-month anniversary of my start date, which was back on December 1st. I can't believe that I've been working here for half of a year already! In some ways, it feels like I just started. In other ways, it feels like I've been there forever.
I feel so comfortable at work, both in regards to the job I'm performing and to the people with whom I'm working each day. I think that's why the past six months seemed to fly by so quickly, because I love being there! It's such a joy to interact with Guests and add just a tiny bit of magic to their vacation. It really makes me feel good when I can share a smile with a Guest and hear about how much they're enjoying their time at Disney World.
The end of my family's first year here in Florida is going to bring about some fun changes for me as I start the second half of my year at Disney, and I'm excited for what's to come. Bring on July... I can't wait to see what happens next month!
