Two family friends of ours have been stationed overseas in Afghanistan and they’re finally coming home tonight!
One of them I have known since I was in third grade. Her mom and my mom are best friends. Her boyfriend (well, they got engaged while overseas) is also coming home tonight. Everyone is very excited for them to come home, and we’re all going to surprise them at the airport. They think that their immediate family will be there, but they don’t know about our family or her sister (since she doesn’t even live in the same state as all of us).
I’ve never been on a plane before, so this will be my first time in an airport. I think it will be exciting for my siblings to see what the airport looks like as well. But the most exciting part will just be seeing our friends back on American soil. We made posters to welcome them home, and we can’t wait for them to be here.
I can’t wait to have an update on their first night home!
