Wow, time just seemed to fly by at work today! Before I knew it, the night was already over and it was time to head home!
The only bad thing about work days is that I don't really have time to do anything before or after work, which means that I can't get anything else accomplished. I would have loved to write to a few more literary agents today, but there just wasn't any time for that.
The good thing about work days is that I get to interact with some really incredible Guests throughout the day! I met some adorably sweet kids today who just made me smile. One little boy was so proud of himself for turning something in to me that belonged in our "Lost and Found" bin... he was even happier when I thanked him by giving him a Mickey Mouse sticker!
Today, I actually met a man who said that he had grown up in my hometown. When he told me the area that he had lived in, I was able to picture every detail of those roads and the buildings around there. It was really nice to think about the town and truly picture it. Even though I think about my friends and memories of things that happened in my hometown, I have realized that I don't actually just sit there and picture the different parts of town and the roads on which I used to drive. It was nice to picture it today, even if it was just for a couple of minutes.
Now, I'm just hoping that tomorrow goes as smoothly as today did, because I really had a great time today!
