It’s November at last! After the crazy build up to Halloween, it seems like most people are going to calm down for a little while now, at least until Thanksgiving preparations begin. But in our family? No, we’re still in full swing with the chaos.
In the meantime, I’m working (and will probably continue to work up until the last minute tomorrow) to get all of the baked goods ready for the party. I’ve been baking for the past few days, and everything is finally starting to come together. I’m going to have two different kinds of cupcakes and cookies cut in the shape of the number “5″ ready for the party. The girls decided on the themes that they wanted for the party, so one chose “Frozen” and one chose “Sofia the First.” So everything that I’m making (with the exception of the peanut butter frosting) is either light blue or purple to go with their themes. I even let the girls help me with adding some ingredients, so they felt like they helped with making their cookies. I really hope that everything turns out well tomorrow!
Keep your fingers crossed that I’ll be able to finish everything on time, or my mom won’t let me take on the baking anymore…she’ll buy things from the store instead! Yikes!
