Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Well, we finally made it to Florida! We found our campsite, hooked up the RV, and everyone enjoyed a nice meal at the restaurant right across the street! You seriously just have to go across the road to get to one restaurant and go around the corner for another one... It's a good thing I don't have a job, or if be eating out for every meal!
Well, we finally made it to Florida! We found our campsite, hooked up the RV, and everyone enjoyed a nice meal at the restaurant right across the street! Excuse the construction guy... He didn't know that I wanted a picture of the Florida welcome sign I guess! But yes, we made it into a state where it feels like summer already, and we all had to change into shorts as soon as we pulled in. Well, not all of us anyway; for some reason, my dad chose to stay in sweatpants. Oy vey!
It has been so beautiful here, and as soon as we got out to stretch and get gas (an hour before the campsite in Kissimmee), we already felt like we were in a great place. It was snowing at home today, and it was freezing, but here it has been gorgeous. It's after 11pm and I'm outside in a racerback tank and shorts. It's great!
I have been so excited to move here, but as the reality of the situation gets closer, I have been second guessing myself a little. Won't I miss New York? Won't I miss the house that I've called home for 21 years? Won't I miss the schools, the people, the library, the way you need to drive 25 minutes just to get fast food or go to the movies? Sure, I'll miss all of that and more, but being back here in Florida makes me realize that I am ready for this move. I'm ready to stop dealing with the freezing cold and snow each year. I'm ready to meet new people, start a new chapter in my life, find a new job. I'm more anxious than ever to make our dream of moving a reality. And it all starts tomorrow when we go look at some houses. I can't wait to see what's in store for us!
