Yesterday, some good family friends of ours officially joined the foster care family “club” because they took in their first placement!
Yesterday, some good family friends of ours officially joined the foster care family “club” because they took in their first placement!
I’m so excited for them to see how amazing and rewarding foster care is, and to see them help a young child in need. I know that I have been somewhat cranky about the foster care system lately because I’m upset that my little sister is leaving tomorrow, but overall, the foster care system is an incredible thing. It helps so many children, and it also helps so many families, both the biological and the foster or adoptive families.
I can’t wait to meet the new child who was placed with our family friends, and see how the family adapts to having a new child in the house. I can only hope that their foster care journey will be as rewarding as ours has been.
