To say that I'm exhausted would be an understatement! I babysat for eight hours today, and while it was a great experience, it completely wiped me out.
It's been so long since I babysat for someone other than my siblings, so I was a little nervous going into it, but babysitting was such an enjoyable experience. It was so funny to only be watching one little girl as opposed to my two little sisters, because there was no argument over what channel to watch on the television and only one opinion on what game to play. It was such a pleasure to watch this little girl today, and it was so sweet when she asked her mom if they could see me again after today.
Now I really am exhausted so I'm going to have to get to bed. But before I end, I'd like to point everyone's attention back to a post from the other night. When I spoke about Foster Family Experiences, and the way that people focus on the negatives of foster care, I then invited foster parents to comment on the post with their own positive experiences. I wanted to show people that there are good stories out there, and those are the ones that we should be focusing on. I'm really happy that some people have shared their stories and I wanted to draw everyone's attention to what people have shared. It's really great to hear from others and see how foster care has made a positive impact on their lives and families.
Thank you so much for your continued support! I look forward to sharing more stories about my experience with foster care, and hopefully hearing from readers who have questions or similar stories to share. I'm always willing to answer questions and hear about other experiences! Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!
