Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was a day filled with crazy ups and downs at work... I felt like I was working one of the roller coasters instead of my usual job!
There were long wait times, and then there were slow times when Guests could be helped sooner than they thought they would be helped. There was extreme heat, and then there was rain that cooled everyone off. There were misplaced items, and then relieved smiles when things were found. There were crying babies, and then there were giddy children.
There were highs and lows throughout the day. Every unfortunate down time had a high time to balance it out. I definitely felt like I was kept on my toes today! But overall, the good definitely outweighed the bad (though, really, it's Disney.... There's never actually a "bad"). I was even told that I made someone's birthday great!
Even though I was exhausted from my late night yesterday, I was consistently given reasons to smile, laugh, and be excited about being at work. I may hate getting out of bed in the morning, but once I'm actually at work, there's no place else I would rather be. It's such a great feeling to love your job and the people you're working with everyday.
Your continued support means the world to me. From foster care to novels, and family to work experiences, I look forward to sharing more of my life with you each day. Don't hesitate to share your own stories with me or ask me questions about my life. Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!
I’d greatly appreciate it if you would share this blog with friends and family through your favorite social media sites. If you’re sharing on Twitter, don’t forget to tag me (@TayTayK02) and use the hashtag #TaylorTalks.
My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
