Today was the first day I was able to train someone at work!
Today was the first day I was able to train someone at work!
I had no idea that I was going to be training today, because something had been switched last minute with the schedules. The down side was that I didn't know I would have to close tonight; the upside was that I got to work with someone all day and help her review all she needed to know.
Since it was her last day of training, I didn't feel as much pressure as I would have if it was someone's first day and their first introduction to the company. Aside from the fact that I didn't get out of work until almost 11:30pm, the day went wonderfully. I had a really good time getting to know my trainee, and I feel more prepared now for the next time I train someone.
I would write more about my experiences today, but to be quite honest, I'm exhausted. I worked for over twelve hours (unexpectedly) and we had a lot going on today. But it was definitely a great day overall and I'm certainly glad that I became a Disney trainer! It's a great position!
