Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today has really just been awful. It's only 8:30pm and I'm sitting in bed, about to fall asleep as soon as I finish this post.
I feel like a horrible mess today. I wasn't feeling well all weekend but today it was suddenly 10 times worse. I could barely speak because my throat hurt so badly. And to top it all off, today was my first day actually teaching a lesson in student teaching. What a mess!
The kids could barely hear me, which meant that it was hard to keep their attention. Luckily, they understood that I wasn't feeling well, and they did actually complete the work for me. Still, it wasn't the best first lesson that I could have done.
Alright, my mom has done everything she could think of for me. She gave me tea, made me gargle with salt water, had me do a nebulizer treatment, and take medicine just in case I spring a fever overnight (she already checked twice... Nothing so far, thankfully). It's time for me to get some sleep. Good night all!

My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
