Well, we finally got that snow day that we were promised last week! Took long enough for it to get here... but it was certainly worth the wait!
Well, we finally got that snow day that we were promised last week! Took long enough for it to get here... but it was certainly worth the wait!
When I went out to walk my dog this morning, the snow was taller than she is! I took this picture of her to send to a friend of mine who is stuck in Florida right now, so she could see what she was missing, and I thought it would be nice to include it here to give everyone a sense of just how high the snow was today. My poor little girl was soaked, and so was I!
I was really glad to have a snow day because the hours that I'm working for student teaching are killing me. It's been two weeks but I'm just not used to the long days yet. I know all of my siblings were excited for a day off as well.
Days like this do make me miss my most recent foster sister though. I know she would have loved to play in the snow with my little sisters on a day like today. It's funny how long it takes to get used to "normal" life as life without a sibling. I still think about all of my siblings when different things happen throughout life, and wonder where everyone is now and how they are doing. I guess that is "normal" life for me... always readjusting to kids coming and going.
