We got so much holiday baking accomplished today! I haven't been able to bake all week since I was in training for work (and then had errands to run yesterday), so today was the first chance we had to get back to cookies.
Part of me thinks it's insane that we're baking so much, but I know that it will all be gone in the blink of an eye. We're already down a handful of cookies just from everyone taste testing! Luckily though, all of the taste testing is paying off... I know when something's a little too dry, or when a batch comes out perfectly. I think that my cookie baking skills have definitely improved over the past few years from the first time I tried to make Christmas cookies.
I'm definitely planning on taking pictures of all of the cookies once they're completed. Not only do I want proof of how much baking we've done, but I want to remember which recipes I worked on this year and how they looked as finished products! I'm really proud of what my siblings and I have accomplished so far. In the meantime, I'll just leave you all to envision the perfect Christmas cookies and we'll see if my creations measure up when I post pictures.
Actually, if you have a favorite Christmas cookie, I'd love to hear about it. Or an experience baking cookies that you remember fondly... Share a story here on my blog in the comments, or take to my Facebook page to share pictures as well! You can even share with me on Twitter using #TaylorTalks. I'd really love to hear more from readers, so don't be shy!
Thank you so much for your continued support! I look forward to sharing more stories about my experience with foster care, and hopefully hearing from readers who have questions or similar stories to share. I'm always willing to answer questions and hear about other experiences! Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!
