Tuesday was my mom's birthday! Today, I had a little bit of time before work, so I figured I would share my mom's birthday present with everyone...
Tuesday was my mom's birthday! Today, I had a little bit of time before work, so I figured I would share my mom's birthday present with everyone...

My mom decided that she wanted hamsters! How cute are they?! They are so tiny, and it just so happens that they are the same colors as our dogs!
My mom picked out their names, Sasha and Malia, but I decided that they needed middle names too (the dogs have middle names, so it was only fair). I thought that their middle names should be Elsa and Anna because they're sisters (same litter) and one is totally white while the other has the white stripe in her hair. Also, they needed some Disney associated with them. I mean, our dogs both have Disney names (Zola from Grey's Anatomy and Copper from Fox and the Hound).
Everyone is giddy over these little girls. We've got their cages in the living room so we can watch them running on their wheels, and then we've got a little hamster fence that we put up on the floor to let them out to play. We've also got hamster balls for them to roll around in, and those have made us all laugh.
Sasha and Malia are so soft and it doesn't even feel like you're holding anything when you pick them up. They're incredibly tiny! I felt awful because my dad and I got home from work pretty late on my mom's birthday, so we couldn't celebrate. We're going to celebrate over the weekend instead. But at least she got two cute presents!
Alright, I should start getting ready for work before I'm suddenly running late. Have a great Thursday... it's almost the weekend!
