I had such an awesome day today! I took my sister down to Epcot where we met up with one of my favorite teachers and her family!
I had such an awesome day today! I took my sister down to Epcot where we met up with one of my favorite teachers and her family!
First of all, it was awesome to spend the day catching up with a teacher who has helped me so much in the past and with whom I have worked so closely before. I met her daughter and grandson a few times in the past, but today was the first time that I really got to spend a lot of time with them, so that was really great too. I mean, what better way to get to know someone than by spending time at Disney together?
It was also really nice to spend time with my sister away from the rest of the family. It was really strange at first, being at Disney without the entire family being there, but we really enjoyed the time together. After our three park companions left at the end of the day, my sister and I even stayed and did another ride and some more walking around together.

What was also cool about today was that it was my first time going to Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival. I've never been to Epcot in the spring before, so it was amazing to see so many beautiful garden pieces throughout the park. There are stunning topiaries in the image of characters, and there are such vibrant flowers planted throughout Epcot (some in the shape of "hidden" Mickeys). On top of that, we also went into the aquarium viewing area and saw some amazing sea creatures up close and personal. You don't realize how large a sea turtle is until you find yourself face to face with one!
Today was one of those days where I accomplished absolutely nothing professionally, but personally had a spectacular day. I think that going to Epcot today was well worth the lack of writing. I can struggle with writer's block another day. In the meantime, don't forget to vote in my poll from yesterday to help impact my new children's book!
