Life as a Writer, Disney World Cast Member, and
Big Sister through Foster Care & Adoption
Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
There was no writing for me today because I was back at work once again!
Wow, it was insane at work today! There were either no Guests to be helped, or there were fifty Guests to be helped all at the same time... there was no in between! Though out of those two options I would definitely rather keep busy helping people, it still takes a toll on you after a while. The chaos serves as a reminder that it is Disney World and there are countless Guests at the Parks each day.
It's amazing how tired you can get just from standing and talking to people all day long. My mouth was so dry by the time I was leaving work that I couldn't gulp down water fast enough! My ride home at the end of the night seemed to last forever, and I found myself actually counting mile by mile to motivate myself that I was one step closer to being home in bed.
What was really nice about today though, aside from keeping busy, was that my break overlapped with two of my fellow Cast Members whose company I really enjoy, so we were able to sit and chat with one another without work pulling us apart. It was great to just sit with them and have a good conversation.
The other nice part about my day was that I actually met a family who not only knew where my hometown was, but one of them had actually grown up there! On top of that, this Guest said the name of a relative who I actually knew and have spoken to before. It was such a tiny connection, but it was so amazing to speak with someone with whom I was able to talk about home. It was really a bright spot in my night.
Alright, now I'm exhausted and need to get to bed... I have quite the busy day tomorrow. Here's hoping that I'll have at least a few minutes to work on my book after I take care of everything else that my Thursday has in store!
Your continued support means the world to me. From foster care to novels, and family to work experiences, I look forward to sharing more of my life with you each day. Don't hesitate to share your own stories with me or ask me questions about my life. Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!

My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
