Life as a Writer, Disney World Cast Member, and
Big Sister through Foster Care & Adoption
Welcome back to Taylor Talks! Remember the busy day that I mentioned having planned for today? Well, that didn't quite go as planned... After leaving the house this morning, my mom and I realized that we forgot to bring something with us that we needed for one stop we had to make. That meant that we couldn't take care of that errand today, and so we started a list of things to do for tomorrow. Not a great start, right?
It kept getting better from there. At the stop that we did make, we realized that we didn't have something else with us that we needed, which meant that we couldn't accomplish anything there either. Then I had planned on taking my car in for an oil change, but since we already had "so much" to do today, I figured we could do the oil change tomorrow. So even though we suddenly realized that we couldn't accomplish anything that we were actually supposed to do today, I couldn't even do the oil change because we had gone out in my mom's car instead of mine. To top off a day gone totally wrong, I was so exhausted that I only wrote about two sentences for my book today. I couldn't concentrate any longer than that. I think the only thing I actually did accomplish today was showering! It was just one of those days, I guess. Although, I did manage to pick up an extra shift at work next week, so that made me feel better that I'm going to be productive on another day. Hopefully tomorrow goes more smoothly. Or Saturday... You never know. With my luck, I'll probably take care of the rest of my errands in three weeks or something. Either way, I'm pretty sure I'll be triple-checking to make sure that we have everything we need before leaving the house at any time over the next few days. I hope your Thursday was more productive than mine was! Thank goodness that tomorrow is Friday, right? Your continued support means the world to me. From foster care to novels, and family to work experiences, I look forward to sharing more of my life with you each day. Don't hesitate to share your own stories with me or ask me questions about my life. Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well! My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
