It's the last day of 2015! I can hardly believe that the whole year has passed already!
This past year I have experienced some of the biggest changes of my life. College graduation, moving out of the only home I had ever known, moving to Florida, and starting this incredible new job,,, there have been plenty of bumps along the way, but I don't think that there was anything I could have done differently.
The one thing I'm bummed about is that I didn't quite accomplish my 2015 resolution: to finish my novel by 2016. But just at the end I got so weighed down with work, and the move over the summer took a lot of time... I also didn't have a ton of time to work on it throughout my senior year. That being said though, I'm very happy with how much I accomplished in my book, and I know that I'll be able to finish writing this first draft within the next month or two.
I also had never imagined going into 2015 that I would finish the year as an actual author. I'm so proud of myself for publishing my first children's book, and I look forward to writing more for kids in the next year. I've also been able to grow my audience here at Taylor Talks and on my author page, which has been really wonderful. I hope to be able to grow my writing's reach even more as 2016 progresses.
I wish there was a better way for me to express my gratitude for all of the support I've received this year, but saying thank you will have to be enough. I truly appreciate each and every 'like,' comment, question, book order, and share that I've received over the past year. I hope that 2016 can only get better!
Happy New Year to you all, and I'll write to you again next year!
Thank you so much for your continued support! I look forward to sharing more stories about my experience with foster care, and hopefully hearing from readers who have questions or similar stories to share. I'm always willing to answer questions and hear about other experiences! Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!
I’d greatly appreciate it if you would share this blog with friends and family through your favorite social media sites. If you’re sharing on Twitter, don’t forget to tag me (@TayTayK02) and use the hashtag #TaylorTalks.
Thanks!
