Today is a special day on which we remember my grandpa: his birthday.
Everyone who knew my grandpa always tells me what a wonderful person he was. Whether it's family members on my mom's side of the family who were related to my grandpa, or my dad's family members who met him after my parents were dating, or family friends who knew him in some capacity, everyone has a loving, funny, or heart-warming story about my grandpa.
I think about my grandpa every day, and while I always wish that I could have had more time with him, I cherish the memories from the five years that we did have together. I just found a new group of photos from when I was little, and it was great to look through them and relive some old memories. And of course, when we first moved into the house, we were watching old home movies which was nice because I got to see my grandpa, and I had been having trouble remembering his voice so it was nice to hear what he sounded like again.
Happy birthday Grandpa!
