Happy Father's Day!

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

Happy Father's Day! Today is a day when we honor the special dads in our life, and I couldn't have been happier to spend the day with my dad and family.
PictureMe wearing one of my dad's hats... he has a million of these things!
The morning started out with gifts for our dad. Like I did for for my mom on her birthday and Mother's Day, I had taken the kids to the dollar store to pick out presents for my dad for this special day. Oh boy, was it a great assortment of gifts! Presents from the twins included dress-up fairy wings and a pink stuffed dolphin, among other things! It was pretty funny, but my dad appreciated everything. We also went to the movies and out to dinner to celebrate. It was a really nice day, even if the movie froze in the middle and had to be rebooted!

I'd like to wish a happy Father's Day to all of the fathers out there, whether you are a bio, foster, adoptive, step, or Godfather. Of course, a very special shout out goes to my own dad, for being the most incredible father to twenty children over the course of my lifetime. I don't know anyone who works as hard as my dad to support his family, and I'm in constant awe of his commitment to making sure none of us ever want for anything. I've always striven to make my dad proud, especially in my school work, and I've always looked up to him.

I hope everyone enjoyed this Father's Day. Any guy can be a father, but it takes a special person to be someone's Daddy. I know that I'm extremely lucky to have such an amazing daddy in my life, and I'm glad that all of my siblings have gotten to call him Dad at some point in their lives, even if they are no longer living with us. He's a great role model for us to look up to, and I'm so proud to call him my dad. I hope everyone was able to appreciate their dads today, whether you were able to spend the day with your dad, or whether you got to remember wonderful memories that you had with him if he is no longer here.

I finally hit 100 likes on my Facebook author page! Thank you so much for all of the continual support! This is a huge step for me, but I'm still pushing for my goal of 150 likes. When I hit that mark, I'll share information about my first novel that I think you'll enjoy. So please don't forget to like the page if you haven't done so yet, and share it with your friends!

I’d greatly appreciate it if you would share this blog with friends and family through your favorite social media sites. If you’re sharing on Twitter, don’t forget to tag me (@TayTayK02) and use the hashtag #TaylorTalks.

Thanks!
Taylor

My family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.

I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life.

I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day.

I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing!
