I am beyond thrilled to announce that I am FINALLY home study approved!!!
Being furloughed for nine months drastically delayed the home study process, but I was finally finalized today! I still can't believe it and I've had hours to process this information.
There are no more steps. I've finished all of the paperwork. All of the fees are paid. Everything is verified. I am DONE!
The feeling was so incredibly magical that I had to put on my Tinker Bell themed Minnie ears for my official photo after I met with Amy from Connecting Hearts today. After all, it may have taken quite a while, but I just needed faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust to finally complete the process.
Now, more than ever before, I am relying on the help of others to get my profile out there so that I can connect with expectant parents who believe that adoption is the best fit for their families. You never know how a connection will be made between expectant parents who are choosing adoption and the hopeful adoptive parents who would love that baby... perhaps your cousin's neighbor's sister has chosen adoption for her unborn baby. Maybe your coworker's sister's high school best friend believes that adoption is the right fit for her unborn child. There are so many possibilities. So I truly need YOUR help to get the word out that I'm looking to adopt!
I am so excited to be at this next step in the adoption process! I truly cannot wait to become a mom and I know that my future daughter is out there somewhere, waiting to make her arrival in the world until she knows that I've connected with her birth mother. I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
