My goodness! I can't believe how late it is already... I just sat down for the first time at 11pm after being on my feet all day.
All of my sisters and I accomplished quite a lot in the kitchen today. Three batches of cookies are completely finished, and there's more dough in the fridge that will be ready to go in the oven tomorrow. This is only the beginning of our holiday baking, and we really enjoyed ourselves today.
It was so nice to work together with all three of my sisters over the course of the day. We worked like a well-oiled machine as we added ingredients, mixed things together, popped cookies in and out of the oven, and cleaned bowls for the next batch. Hopefully tomorrow goes just as well, even though I'm sure it'll end up being messier. The girls can't wait to decorate their cookies with pink and purple frosting (don't those colors just scream holidays?) and of course, they want to eat them all tomorrow. We'll have to see how long I can hold them off!
I can't believe how quickly this Thanksgiving weekend is coming to a close. It's going to be December in the blink of an eye!
Thank you so much for your continued support! I look forward to sharing more stories about my experience with foster care, and hopefully hearing from readers who have questions or similar stories to share. I'm always willing to answer questions and hear about other experiences! Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well!
