Today, we celebrated my little brother's birthday! I guess he's not quite so little anymore!

My little brother has been living with us since two weeks after his second birthday, and today he turned twelve years old. I can't even remember what life was like before he was part of the family. I do remember how close we've always been though, because my dad used to say that my brother wouldn't be able to walk properly since I carried him everywhere.
When we were younger, everyone used to say that I was like a second mother to my little brother. We've always had this special connection between the two of us, and even though he's getting older and we don't sit and cuddle anymore, I still love getting in those bedtime hugs. I know that we only have a year now before he becomes a teenager, so I'm really cherishing what's left of his childhood.
