My Mommy

Welcome back to Taylor Talks!

Today, I wanted to share a special writing that I did about my mom. I’ve been sharing these short paragraphs that I’ve written about each of my family members little by little, because I’m hoping that they can help people understand how great my family really is.

The camera is recording as she watches the scene unfold. There is noise enough for a party of 50, though there are only 8 in the room. Babies run around in circles, singing as loud as they can. School lunches are being made, and there is conversation and laughter. She looks around the room and smiles. Nothing could be better than this. She looks through the camera to make sure everything is being captured; this will provide laughs for tomorrow. She’s glowing with the warmth that only a mother could understand – she’s my mom.

My mom is the glue that holds my family together. She is a strong, passionate, incredible woman, who I have been truly blessed to call my mom. Not just anyone can raise nineteen children and make them all feel like they are the most special person in the world. My mom truly makes my siblings and I feel as though we could do anything we could ever want to try, and she is our biggest supporter. I don’t know what I would do without my mom, and I am so honored and proud to say that I am her daughter.
