I have really exciting news to share before I talk about today's events... My mom got the call to take in another little girl! She's three years old, and we'll be taking her in the day after we get home!
Hahaha I couldn't resist! How many of you fell for that one?! Haha in all seriousness, we didn't get the call to take in another child, but we did have a pretty nice day anyway!
My parents took the kids to the campground pool and I stayed behind in the RV to get some school work taken care of. I'm planning lessons that I can teach for the plant unit I'll be starting after spring break is over... I can't wait to start teaching these kindergarten kids, and the nice part is that I can run ideas past my littlest sisters. After everyone got home from the pool, I was able to show one of the girls a video I want to use, and I got her seal of approval.
Tonight, we drove an hour away and went to the home of our former neighbors. They lived three houses down from us when we were little, and they moved to Florida when I was in either eighth or ninth grade. When we came to Florida in 2013, they were able to come to the campground where we were staying and hang out with us for a whole day. Tonight, they invited us to their home for dinner, so we've been hanging out here and catching up for a few hours. My mom and our former neighbor were such good friends and were so sad to be separated when they moved; they love being reunited and us kids got a little laugh when they hugged each other hello and got a tear in their eyes. It was silly, but sweet.
It's also really nice to see our friends because they know the area now and have been helping us with figuring out a good town to move to. We're sitting here now finding out what foods they don't have in Florida (good bagels) and what shops can't be found down here (bakeries)... We'll be all prepared before we even move here!
Alright, I'd better get back to visiting... Just didn't want it to be too late to post today.
