Today is a really big day for me, specifically for me and my blog. Today is the third anniversary of starting Taylor Talks!
It's hard to believe that three years have passed since starting out on this blogging adventure. I can still remember where I was sitting as I began my website and typed up my first blog post. So much has changed since that day, but my passion for writing, love of my family, and willingness to share my family's foster care & adoption story have all remained true.
What began as a daily blog about my experience as the only biological child in a foster/adoptive family, then expanded to include much more, has grown to become a place where I cheer my successes, mourn my losses, and share my story with everyone. I've learned so much since starting my blog and continue to learn and grow with each new post.
Since starting Taylor Talks, I've published two children's books and finished writing a novel. I'm in the midst of illustrating my third children's book, have a chapter and a half finished in one new novel, and have just come up with an idea for a third novel. My mind is constantly on the move and I have notepads filled with new ideas for stories. I started this blog as an aspiring author and have since felt confident enough with what I've put into the world to call myself an author, though still with a ton of aspirations for the future.
I've also been working on my social media presence over the last three years. Some of you may have started follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Unfortunately, all of my social media handles were different, which may have made it a little confusing. However, I have now been able to change everything so that you can find me at the same handle all over social media: @TayTayK02! I'm really excited for this change and I hope that it will make things easier for everyone to find me online.
I'm looking forward to a new year of blogging. I can't wait to see where else my writing will take me, and I look forward to sharing more here about my life. I hope to gain more followers in the future and see more comments on my posts, so feel free to share what you see here and let me know what you think! Feedback can only help me improve!
