Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Well it's 11pm, and I know that as soon as my mom sees that I'm posting this late, she's going to question me on why I wasn't sleeping already. I have to get up so early for student teaching that I usually go to bed by 10pm every night. It's crazy! But tonight I had to finish taking cupcakes out of the oven and then was catching up with a friend, so I'm okay with being tired tomorrow.
Tonight I began prep for Valentine's Day. Between the parties that my little sisters are having at school (they're in two different classes in their morning kindergarten, and they go to the same afternoon kindergarten enrichment class, so that's 3 classes right there!) and my own class that I'm student teaching in, there's a lot of Valentine's parties this week.
It was so cute tonight, because when I said that I was going to bake cupcakes, my little sisters got so excited! They both helped me whip up a batch before they had to go to bed. They said that when I made the cupcakes pink, it was "magic" and they were in awe! It was adorable. So I'm definitely going to regret staying up so late tomorrow, but the joy that those little girls felt when they found out that I was making cupcakes for them makes the lack of sleep completely worth it.
I should definitely get to sleep though, so I'll have to keep my post short tonight. Hope everyone else is getting prepared for Valentine's as well!

My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
